I understand it’s for neonates.
There may be other reasons though.

Converting lbs and oz to kg
This is interesting -- I actually have an issue open
with Meditech to find out why a number that displays in the kg query on the CDS
as 86.183, displays in PCI as 86.182551 (6 digits after the decimal). I
did not know about this DTS and I agree -- this should be a parameter. Is
there ever any reason to display 6 digits beyond the decimal?

I think that the length and amount of the decimals
should be a parameter
setting. We should be able to choose the amount of
decimal places
according to our patient care criteria.

Meditech increased the length of the decimal
fields. At first, my BMI
did
not calculate. Actually, corruption resulted
if I arrowed back up on
the
screen.
Solution: Change the number of decimals in
the lbs, ozs, and kgs.
I used the
same attribute for calculating.
Here is an excerpt from the DTS:
NUR 6897 - Increase Decimal Fields for Height and
Weight
Available in Releases: 4.9 SR7, 5.4 SR2, 5.5
SR0Request Type:
Enhancement

We just went to Meditech Magic 5.5 SR2 and our lbs
and oz to kg
attribute is no longer working on our CDS.
Does someone have this
attribute that works in 5.5 SR2?
