Nancy, The only one I can give any comments on is #3. Newborn medications given right after delivery. We discussed how to handle the immediate newborn medications that are given before the baby even has an account #. We decided to not even put those medications on the MAR as they would never be scanned nor are they able to be signed out of pyxis for the newborn for the same reason. We continued to keep them in our stock supply and document them on the delivery record rather than on the MAR. Meds given after that to the newborn are entered on the MAR and scanned.
