Good morning,

It is our hospital that has delayed 5.5 indefinitely.  We've been
waiting for a response from Meditech, but it's been almost three months
and we don't know what, if anything, they intend to do.  We have an
outreach lab and are unwilling to go live with anything that will make
it hard on our customers.  

I agree that something that was not broke was broken.  Why they did
this "enhancement" is still an unanswered question.  We can't get an
answer about what prompted the change.  We've asked MT to put us in
touch with anyone who is using the software, so that we could figure out
how to go live with it.  We told them we would make any changes to our
process, if we can be told what to do.  Of course, they won't provide
any contacts.

The previous routines worked like a credit card, but the new system
would require re-cutting bills all over the place.  And, the new bill
doesn't highlight what was added or credited.  We couldn't even figure
out how to know exactly what the balance owed was on each account.  Just
a mess.

There have been times that our Meditech team leader hasn't bought into
what lab considers show-stoppers, as he doesn't have the background. 
But, he knows a lot about billing, so it didn't take any effort at all
this time to convince him that we have a serious issue here.

When and if we get a response from MT, I will post to the web.  In the
meantime, we are still going to participate in the web cast out of
curiosity, if nothing else.

Hi All,

I've seen it mentioned before on the L that some sites are noticing
problems with the Client enhancements in 5.5. Does anyone have any
specifics? So far in our testing we haven't noticed any problems and I'm
afraid we're missing something. I saw one person mention that they
delayed their Live date because of it. Does anyone have any specific
bugs they could share so we can keep an eye out? Thanks!
