We enter non-staff providers aka "referring docs". The billing office
needs to have their UPIN numbers on the claim forms and the departments
need to fax to them. The managers of RAD or ADM or B/AR are usually the
ones requesting the new addition. Lately, we had to add the REHAB staff
because an insurance, REGENCE, has assigned provider numbers to them.

patient. Constantly adding new ones. That is also how they get the
