Title: Using Auto release in C/S for tests that do not have critical values assigned

Good morning,
We are in the process of implementing Auto Release on a Chemistry Analyzer in Client Server.
Several of the analytes run on this instrument do not have critical ranges.
Test Dictionary: PHOS pg 3
Critical Low: 1.0; Low Normal: 3.5; Hi Normal: 4.5; Critical HI: blank
The site wants to be able to review a PHOS result that is greater 20.8. The site does not want this result to auto release. The site also does not want to
enter a High Critical on pg 3 of the test dictionary

Set up dictionaries with the following entries

Test PHOS: pg 3
Acceptable range LOW 0.3 HIGH 20.8 Reject N
Critical Low: 1.0; Low Normal: 3.5; Hi Normal: 4.5; Critical HI: blank

Auto release criteria:
Complete Transmission only? Y
Overwrite Permanent Spec? N
Abnormal Values? Y
Critical Values? N
QC Spec to check? PREV

When manually entering a PHOS result of 25.0, the CONFIRMATION SCREEN pops up:  RESULT IS OUTSIDE THE HI ACCEPTABLE RANGE. OK?
The User needs to select Yes or No before the result will FILE.

I realize that the confirmation and acceptable ranges are not referenced or checked for abnormal or critical values for auto release.

My question is:
Will a PHOS result of 25.0 auto release, or will the CONFIRMATION SCREEN stop the auto release?
Thanks
