Hi,
I've tried to post this from my Yahoo account for 2 days with no luck. If
this is a duplicate, I apologize.
We have a discharge CDS that is set to default
responses in the intervention dictionary so nurses
can enter the information as it becomes available.
I've been asked to add a full skin assessment to this
CDS, and require them to complete it.
The 1st query on the CDS asks if the patient expired
(NURDC00312). If the answer is yes, we bypass the
majority of the remaining queries, and require others
related to a death. I have that part working.
Another query asks if the discharge is today
(NURDC0312A), so I can require unanswered queries on
the day of discharge (such as the skin assessment).
I want the cursor to stop on all the queries if the
patient is alive, but only require them if it's the
day of discharge.
I tested this, and it works (at least on the surface),
but I think I've read that attributes shouldn't be
written this way:
IFE=[ANS,"NURDC00312"]|0="N"
REQI=[ANS,"NURDC0312A"]|0="Y"
Any help out there?
Thanks in advance,
Susan
