QUERIES"Y"IN INTERVENTION DICTIONARY

What I was referring to is across accounts. So for our RCR accounts, we
auto discharge them each month, and he next month that RCR Oncology
patient comes back for Chemotherapy, the nurses do not want to have to
re-enter the very large Hx and Assessment (each month), so we did set up
the queries for the Hx to be demo recall=Y and that intervention set to
default queries =Yes.

That is what I was talking about.

Now I think your problem is for the same account/visit, you have the
intervention set up to default queries and it defaults all of then if
they have been documented during this visit. Is that correct?
------------------------------------------------------------------------
--
This is the on-line documentation for the default queries prompt on page
2 of the intervention dictionary.

To have query values from previously documented
occurrences appear as default values, enter Y.
Otherwise, enter N.

If you leave this field blank the system uses the value
defined for the Default Queries on Screens parameter.

Note: This value applies to all locations except those
where a different, location-specific value is defined.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
---
In that case I would not default the queries from the intervention, I
would use a simple attribute to default the previous response, placing
this attribute on any query I did want to default the response and not
using that same attribute on queries that I did not want to default (I
want them to re-enter that data).

DEFAULT WITHOUT HITING ENTER KEY:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]"YOURQUERY"]^/VAR 1,
IFE=/VAR^/[ANS%0,"YOURQUERY"]|0,P(12,82,/VAR)^#}
----------------------------------------------------
DEFAULT QUERY RESPONSE FROM ONE SCREEN TO ANOTHER SCREEN

[EMAIL PROTECTED]"MYQUERY"]^/VAR,
IFE=/VAR^/[ANS%0,"MYQUERY"]|0,P(R,S,/VAR)^#,""}

This is easy to do. We have used /S.LAST.QUERY to limit attribute
editing.
If you are getting the release of Meditech that changes how Meditech
understands /S.LAST.QUERY, simply change that reference to the name of
the
query enclosed in quotes. So, if your attribute is placed on query
TNU67890
your attribute would be edited to this:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]"TNU67890"]^/VAR,
IFE=/VAR^/[ANS%0," TNU67890"]|0,P(R,S,/VAR)^#,""}

Replace the "" with a 1 if you want the user to be able to edit the
response.

Do not worry about demo recall. That determines whether the last filed
value of the last admission is available for this admission.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The report/macro that Joe C from Iatrics sent the L list (I have not
used it) is suppose to allow you to dictate/decide which queries to
default and which to not default.

I prefer to use attributes.

Bill,

This does not work that way for us. We are 5.5 and if you answer default
query yes on the intervention it defaults all query responses regardless
of
answering demo recall on each query as yes or no. Perhaps I don't have
this
setup the same way as you so look forward to your response.

Julie:

For this to work, every query you want to default has to be set up as
Demo
Recall=Yes in MIS.QUERY DICT. Plus, setting the intervention up to
default
query responses=Yes.

Now for the queries you do not want to default automatically, do not set
them up as Demo Recall=Yes. And those will not default.

Now Joe C from Iatrics sent a report with macro that will allow you to
decide which ones to default or not, but to me this process of
identifying
each query in MIS (as demo recall=Y or N)is easier to do.

Hi L-Listers,
I have an intervention that is set in the intervention dictionary to
default queries "Y" so that the previous answers will appear each time
the
nurse documents on it (it is a checklist). I have some queries I do NOT
want to default in and am looking for the attribute to accomplish this.
I
could put the [EMAIL PROTECTED]"query"] attribute on the
ones I
DO want to default in, but that requires the nurse to enter through each
query and they want to see at the glance what is already documented.
Thanks in advance for thinking about this.
