Currently the mnemonic of the canned text, attached in the Lab Test dictionary on page three, is what is displayed when reviewing results in the test specific summary in PCI. This is the page prior to the specimen report. We have had a physician misinterpret one of our mnemonics. MEDITECH has said that the mnemonic is what is stored in the index and that is what PCI displays. I can't believe we have missed this for all these years! Hopefully someone else has found some other way of displaying, or not displaying at all, the canned text.
