We are not a 24-hour Pharmacy.
Nursing handwrites the MAR until Pharmacy opens in the morning.
Remember that they only need to write the meds they are going to give.

We are currently exploring alternatives including Pharmacy order entry
from outside the hospital when Pharmacy is closed.

HELLO ALL,
I have a couple of quick questions for anyone who has implemented the
printed MAR.
Are you a 24 hour pharmacy?
If you are not, how did you handle it when you had a new admission
after the Pharmacy was closed.
We have our MAR printed out at midnight and if we have an admission at
8pm They have to write everything and then when it prints at midnight
they have To write it again. They are not very happy to say the least.
If anyone could help out with this we would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Karen Peck CPhT
