We are currently seeking a Meditech Systems Analyst to join our team in Nashville, TN. Job Description: Extremely high level of analytical ability in order to * (a) analyze changes and enhancements in vendor software packages and to evaluate the impact of such enhancements on existing production systems design, programming standards and existing operating procedures and * (b) monitor computer system performance and analyze data in order to determine the extent to which the performance characteristics of the system are being attained. Conducts systems software performance analysis in order to determine system capacity and efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of vendor software releases in order to effectively analyze program problems or malfunctions and to provide technical support to programmers and others in the requirement, parameters, logic, etc. inherent in such systems. * Coordinates the implementation of modification and/or new system software insuring that production schedules, future development and testing requirements are not impaired. * Works with clients and the Nashville Data Center in the evaluation and recommendation of equipment and coordinates systems software changes to accommodate any changes in the hardware configuration. * Defines requirements and parameters to be used in evaluating present systems software and recommending improvements to such. * Analyzes current systems software, proposed modifications, and new software for impact on installation problems, standards, and procedures * Analyze production or development problems to determine whether they are caused by systems software malfunctions and make corrections where required or directed. * System/operation experience in either a Meditech Magic or Client Server environment required including knowledge of background jobs and EXT.OPS (Magic) application.
