Jodi, Create a NUR type CDS and attach it to the intervention. The CDS should have all of the queries you have on the eligibility form including a query of eligible Y/N. Then, create a NUR custom output format (NPR report with the DPM of NUR.PC.WORK.zcus.prt.....) Add a select field that checks the eligible query for Y Then, add that output format to the NUR Intervention Dictionary, page two with a destination of HERE or PHAR. The result: When the nurse documents the intervention, if the patient is eligible, the form will print to whichever destination(s) you set up. Brian We are currently using a paper form for assessing patient need for pneumonia and flu vaccinations. Would like to document in Meditech. We do not use POM or eMAR at this time. How can I have the nurse document the assessment in MT and automatically send this as an order to pharmacy? Our policy is such that if the patient meets the criteria and there are no contraindications the physicians order is not needed.
