Hi Joanne;
Try the attached routine. In the macro, depending on your embosser, you
may have to change the start and stop characters (D(60) and D(62)). This is
created for a Canadian hospital, but it should demostrate the basic
principal you are looking for.
Hope this Helps
Ken

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] printing addressograph plates from an NPR report

======================================
Hi All,
We are a C/S 5.5 SR2 group of facilities, and we are trying to figure
out the best way to print an embossed addressograph plate without having
to register a patient first. This process would typically be used in one
of our smaller regional facilities when a patient informs staff that
their demographics have changed. The changes are made in MRI demo
recall, and the staff would like to be able to print a new plate for the
patient who isn't necessarily being registered for a visit to that
facility. Obviously, if they were, the plate would be printed via the
normal ADM process.
We have created an NPR report that will pull the data from MRI.DRC, but
we haven't found a way to send it to the embosser printer (other than to
take the embosser off line and produce the plate manually). Any
suggestions would be most welcome.
Thanks, and have a great day.
