======================================

We are using MT Magic 5.4 with Valco scanning and archiving. We are
having a problem with subset printing. What initially was the problem
was that the print order was not coming out as it should. Physician
orders would be mixed in with nursing documentation and the like. The
problem seemed to always involve the physician orders so we tried moving
them to the last print priority setting them to all 9's. This worked
with one record being printed but if we printed two or more at a time
they would mix in with the second chart. We recently started also
having the problem of not all of the physician orders printing. Today
we have had two records that none of the physician orders printed and
one where a failed to print message asking if we wanted to "Retry, Abort
or Quit" came up and after numerous tries quitting was the only thing
that would get out and then nothing printed.
Meditech has set trap code and Valco matched to their logs and say that
the order the keys are handed from MT to Valco is the order Valco is
returning the documents but they then do not print in this order.
Has anyone else ever had this problem or have any ideas as to what we
could look at to locate the cause of the problem?
