We're
C/S 5.4, but I imagine the same charging capabilities are present in
Magic. The majority of our procedures are charged using Time
Charge Rules for OR and PACU. We have an initial higher rate for the
first 30 minutes which gets charged to everyone as a minimum based on the
severity of their procedure (i.e. local anesthetic vs. major
procedure), then we have a secondary rate for each additional 1/4 hour
increment. We are starting to look at procedure-based fees and in
fact, when we recently opened our Cardiac Cath Lab, we do charge a Procedure Fee
which is a fixed dollar amount. We do, however, also charge by time for
the Recovery associated with these procedures. Hope this is helpful to

Hello,
We are evaluating our OR Charging
structure, and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share with me if
you are charging by the minute or by procedure. We are a Magic 5.4 sr2
facility, going 5.5 this summer and do not have an OR module at this
time. My CFO was wondering how many facilities were charging by these
different methods. We do not want any charge amounts, just to know how
others are doing this process.
Any information would be greatly
appreciated.
