We are contemplating moving all our MAGIC servers to MT OS P8.1 to allow better use of storage. We've learned that the move requires all current termservers to be changed to IP based systems. Our current NMI (LAB) interface to an outside reference lab (QUEST) uses modems. As far as we've gotten with Meditech, the DIGI TCP/IP based term servers will NOT communicate with DeskporteP 33.6 modems. It's hard for us to believe that there's not a solution out there that doesn't involve obselete equipment (MT suggested Xyplex). Is there anyone out there that can help us out of this apparent impass? Has anyone gotten a DIGI or similar termserver to dial out to A MODEM to an outside vendor using NMI? TIA.
