We were wondering if there are some settings in the Meditech background jobs or Lab dictionaries to improve the print times of Lab specimen labels when an order is filed from OE. I did some testing, and from the time the OE order is filed it takes sometimes 45 secs to 67 secs for the labels to print. I checked some settings in the LAB dictionary In the Custom Parameters: we have OE LABEL and Delay of 15 sec (to allow add-ons to combine with the midnight run and avoid split orders) On the Background jobs: LAB MONITOR, and BKGD JOB 1-5 the sleep times are at 10 secs For the OE side the: PROCESS ORDERS sleep times is 15 secs, and OE STATUSU PDATE for LAB is 15 secs. Please advise if there some settings within LAB, OE or background job setup to improved the speed in which the LAB specimen labels come out.
