Hi,

We have been considering RFID for quite some time. Our main purpose was
to locate IV pumps, telephones, remotes, Wheel Chairs and...*whispering*
employees.

Then we began thinking about laptops, PDAs, desktops and unfortunately,
even 700 lbs generators. (Still don't know how that one got out.)

Oddly enough our biggest stumbling block was not technology. In fact we
have most of the pieces already in place to deal with this issue from a
technology stand point. Our biggest problem is public relations. We
cannot decide on what to say to the 80 year old wife of the pastor when
she attempts to leave the building with our property. "Pardon me ma'am.
Were you aware that you had accidentally placed one of our televisions
in your purse?"

This argument has continued to rage for many years. So, for the time
being I just budget dollars for the expected "loss" of equipment that
occurs every year.

Thanks,

Mike Cottle
