Ginger,

Yes, I've done this numerous times in both Magic and Client/Server.

For your particular purpose, I'd recommend that you NOT "get" the information from Pharmacy, but actually PRINT the information using your fragment.

Here's how to start:
- Build a PHA.RX report, using the "patient" index to print the information that you want to print out of Pharmacy. - Make sure that all the various "width", "length", "characters/line", etc are the same as your source report.
- Don't do ANYTHING, at this point, to prevent any RX orders from printing.
- Run the report for all patients and make sure that the information looks like you want it.

Once this is done:
- Add the SELECTs necessary to print ONLY those RXs that you need (only Active Orders with a Route of INH for example).
- Re-run and verifiy that all your SELECTs are working.

Finally:
- Add the SELECT to pick the appropriate patient, such as:
  patient EQ /R.FRAG.ARG

Now, set up the usual fragment call from your original program and you should see the PHA RX info printed. Something that you may not be aware of but the internal # for the "patient" field is the same across the Clinical Applications as well as Admitting.

Hope this helps...

Sincerely yours,
John P Trinkaus

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] CURRENT MEDS TO NUR REPORT
Date: Tue, 18 Jul 2006 13:36:20 -0700

Has anyone written a report where they fragment over to PHA to get
current meds? I have a report written out of NUR.NURSE.PT (so we can
use the NURSE's list) that prints demographic and custom defined query
data. The user would also like to see any CURRENT meds with a route of
INH. I wanted to see if anyone has done something like this before?

Thanks in advance!
