We manually track the info on an Excel spreadsheet. Since we didn't start out using them, I don't even know what is wrong with them. Since I do clinicals and financials for LTC I had forgotten about this and never revisited it. We have pressed for some changes to LTC that would allow us to track when a resident bounces from Part A to Part B and back again, but nothing is happening in a timely fashion. There are other parts of the system that I think would work correctly if this piece were in place...such as MDS scheduling and I wonder if the logs wouldn't be positively effected as well. E-mail me directly if you would like to discuss this off-line, I do think that as long as sites are willing to accept that chunks of the system don't work then that will be the norm. This is reporting required for Cost Report by our Auditors. It tracks charges and payments on Medicare Part A and Part B accounts. The Meditech Logs do not appear to be working in LTC and Meditech is saying that no other LTC facility requires this. Are the other facilities using other software to report this info??
