The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== We are in the process of getting things set up so that an OR procedure is attached to a correct billing code which will then go to Abstracting. This is requiring an addition of 800 or so procedures. In this process we have decided to implement a better naming convention for the mnemonics. Does anyone have a great naming convention system that works well for your staff, i.e. is intuitive, easy to learn and remember, and keeps the time for the procedure entry down to a minimum? Also, how do you use the Alias, Procedure Groups, Abbreviation and Name fields to make it easy for the person putting in the procedure? Any help that you all may have would be great appreciated!
