Pharmacy mnemonics: Only problem is that is you happen to have more than one of
something in you system:
i.e. Furosemide 20 mg unit dose, furosemide 20 mg bulk, Lasix 20 mg, ddodlebug
lasix 20 mg, whatever - you can only use your "other mnmonic"
once. so if you make up FUR20 for your mnemonic you can only use it on one of
your entries. If you want to use it to pull up all of your entries,
like you can in some retail stores, you have to put in into your "generic
equivalents field" and set your users to be able to lookup by "C"
(combination of trade and generic). This kinda of messes up their lookup too.
Things are repeated multiple times. It all depends on what you
have in your dictionary and who is using it.

Yes - You have a field/section to identify "Other Mnemonics"...also used as
"speed codes": T50 for Tenormin 50mg, T7 for Tersol-7, etc.

We will be going live with the Pharmacy module early next year and are
in the process of getting our Hospital formulary set up. We will going
up on Client Server 5.5
I have been ask by our Pharmacy if they would be able to have more than one
mnemonic per drug? Can someone answer this for me
