Sharon, (I know I am the wrong 'Brian') I think this will make it easier for you to "cut and paste" the attributes. I cannot see that they would change anything to make this stop working, as it is referencing the physical file/location of the current query. Either way, I usually hard code the query mnemonics because I am a creature of habit. Since you have to edit them anyway. Is the only advantage the time savings of being able to just insert the new attribute without any adjustments from query to query? Are you planning on running a script? Is there any possibility that something will change so the ^/[ANS%0,[^A#0_"ggv"]]|0 won't work at some future update? Then someone is stuck again making all those changes. Just some questions. Our last update was prior to this change, so we still have 6,800+ attributes that use the /S.LAST.QUERY. I have been asking Meditech to undo this change but to no avail. So, I have to edit those attributes. Knowledge Base article 24608 (dated May 18, 2006) offers the suggestion of using [^A#0_"ggv"] instead of /S.LAST.QUERY. I have tested it, and it worked in the few scenarios I tried. To write to the current query, use: ^/[ANS%0,[^A#0_"ggv"]]|0, In the past, I have also used: ^/[ANS%0,V("ggv")]|0, It is easier to type. We don't have v5.5 yet, so I can't test it. Will the shorter version still work in 5.5? Is one safer to use than the other? What's the difference?
