In our hospital, Nursing can request a screening by dietary or rehab without
a physician order, the screening is done and if a full evaluation or further
treatment is required a request for a consultation is requested from the
provider. The request for screening is accomplished through a variety of OA
messages that I have set up. I do this on several queries on my admission
and shift assessments.

If you hospital does this also, then it would be easy enough to generate an
OA message based on the score to go to Rehab and Dietary, and would be
seamless and no additional work for the nursing staff.

Hi Troy,

What about using a query link based on the score of
that query to generate a consult for dietary or PT.
We have set up a specific OE procedure in the CONS
category for nursing generated screenings for this
very example.
