BBK'ers,
Red Cross draws our autologous donors. Recently they have
started using only the last 4 digits of the Social Security number on their
donor id information. The patient may not be in our MPI at the time we
enter the unit.
We use the SS# for Recipient id when we enter the unit into
inventory. This is now a problem.. I know we could switch to MR#, but
this presents some issues for us. I was wondering if anyone else
is dealing with this and how.
