Hello all,

I have a request for a GL Detail Transaction report that lists the following (download, comma separated):

Journal Batch Number (@GL.BATCH.number ?)

Account number (@GL.BATCH.cr.acct / @GL.BATCH.dr.acct ?)

Amount (@GL.BATCH.cr.amount / @GL.BATCH.dr.amount ?)

Cost Center/Department (Would this be a string extraction on the account number ?)

Journal Batch Period (@GL.BATCH.post.to.period ?)

Journal Batch Date (@GL.BATCH.date ?)

Journal Name (@[EMAIL PROTECTED] ?)

Journal Entry Description/Transaction Description (@GL.BATCH.txn.description ?)

It seems pretty cut and straight forward, except for the slight problem of the credits and debits segments being siblings. Since that is where the account number and the amount live, how do I write the report with both of these items on there, keeping in mind that this is basically supposed to be a download report with a list of transactions, one per line, comma separated. I am picturing something sorted first by account number, then by batch date, then by credit/debit (type of transaction), although I could probably do without the account sort.

But how do I do my sorts? Which segment would be best to write in? They are wanting a whole fiscal year download once this is completed, so getting it created in the most efficient manner possible would be ideal. Does anyone already have this wheel lying around and can roll it my way?

We are C/S (5.5 SR3), but I can do the MAGIC version conversion, no problem.

Thank you in advance,

Mitch Lawrence
