I've had a couple of requests to post the rule that restricts the 'Enter
Med' routine for NUR to scanned only items (no lookup or free text
allowed).
I had to get Meditech to develop the keyword for me which isolates
whether or not the drug was scanned into the EM routine.

Rule:
;This rule should only affect all NON-pharmacy employees.
;
"You must SCAN the medication bar code to use the Enter Med
routine."^MSG, IF{[f user]$4="PHAR"; IF{[f z rx drug m scanned]_.=. [f
rx err msg](MSG);1}};

The key to the rule is the custom keyword. We are magic 5.5 SR2. When
we were 4.9 SR3 a different keyword worked but somewhere in the upgrade
process they changed how they were storing the 'scanned Y/N'
information.

Keyword:
PHA.RX.nur.med.order^TEST,IF{'TEST 1;@PHA.RX.nur.medo.ndc.number^A,
%PHA.BARCODE.FMT.test(A)}

Hi Jeff,

How are you restricting lookup? We're to go LIVE w/
BMV in October, and the vast, vast choices w/ lookup
is concerning me.
