Thank you, Anne Baker Patient Accounts Manager - Department: Patient Accounting - Quincy Medical Center, Quincy, MA - Full-time - Day shift - Bachelors degree is preferred - Experience is required - Recent experience in the specialty area is required - Supervisory experience is required Under the Director of Patient Accounting, the Patient Account Manager coordinates and supervises billing, cashiering and third party collection operations. Reconciles details of the general ledger, stays aware of third party contracts and governmental billing procedures and regulations. Interviews, trains, and evaluates personnel under his/her supervision. Requires Bachelor's degree in business administration. (A high school graduate or an associate's degree in business administration with broad, proven practical experience in accounts receivable management in the healthcare field may be acceptable). CMPAM or CHFP preferred. Experience and training: Four to six years of office management and healthcare (preferably in a hospital setting) accounts receivable experience, of which two years should be in a supervisory position. Must be able to supervise and coordinate the billing, collection, cashiering and uncompensated care functions in the department. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with PC and Meditech software. Must have the ability to perform a variety of duties ranging from direct involvement in various procedures to coordination of activities of many subordinates. Must have knowledge in Medicare and Medicaid billing procedures.
