You should check your system's bar parameters to see when aging starts in your system. If it starts from final billed date, you can use the @ar.age.date as the day your account went to final billed. If it's from discharge/service date, then you cannot and you may be limited to the hit-and-miss method of utilizing @status.date (which returns the date the account went to it's current status). Accounts that flipflop FB-BD-FB, etc would have inaccurate times. Good luck.
