Hi All, I have been asked to research the capabilities within the FA module to change our asset depreciation method. Currently we depreciate assets using the sum-year-digits and are considering changing the method to straight line. We have discussed with Meditech and they have suggested any changes to the method should occur at the beginning of the next fiscal year, and we cannot recalculate the current year's depreciation using a different method once the previous methods schedule has run. We would really prefer to enact the method change for all assets as of the beginning of the 2006 fiscal year. We are hoping other sites have changed the depreciation method retrospectively and can share their experience with us.
