Hi All, This question is to ask if anyone is ordering, documenting and renewing Restraint Orders on line? We utilize POM and have been trying to create a restraint order, which we have done successfully. The problem is the renewal of the order by the physician. If they renew the order using the renewal function, they are not even allowed to view the previous queries. If they use the repeat function, they can see/edit the queries, but this creates a new order/intervention for the same thing and the text on the kardex keeps multiplying. It would be great if this DC'd/completed the prior order. One other question that goes along with this is, how do other sites remind users that restraints need to re-ordered without the nurse having to make numerous calls/requests to do so? I am looking for ideas for this use from others who have been able to take it from a paper process to a computer process.
