Meditech does in fact create an NMI message for fix dc's. See the following sequence of NMI message fragments. I entered a new order, then dc'd it, then fix dc'd it: ORC|NW|00000311|||||^BID^^200608251040^200609241044^OR^ RXE||LOP50T|50||MG|| ORC|DC|00000311|||||^BID^^^^OR^ RXE||LOP50T|50||MG|| ORC|FD|00000311|||||^BID^^200608251040^200609241044^OR^ RXE||LOP50T|50||MG|| We have been using Omnicell for the last 6 years, and the fix dc function did not work for us until after our latest Meditech update to MAGIC 5.5 sr2. Meditech has changed the format of their NMI message, and I made a phone call to the interface group at Omnicell. Within a week, everything was working correctly with verified orders, limited edits and full edits, fix dc's all crossing the interface and updating the Omnicell database correctly. I'll bet Meditech is simply not sending anything to Pyxis for FDC's. (Pyxis can only catch something if it's thrown.) The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== Kevin - I haven't had a chance to do this, but plan to see if there is a way to do it. Where this comes into play a lot is when someone is discharged in error and the order is fixed by undo.
