UMass Memorial Medical Center, located in Worcester, Massachusetts is seeking candidates for the position of LIS Systems Analyst. This position will support Clinical Applications including Laboratory, Microbiology, Blood Bank and Pathology. This position will provide support for our 5 hospital organization and extensive outreach patient population. We are a MEDITECH Magic site currently running release 4.9 and will be getting delivery of 5.5 in February (LIVE). We offer excellent growth and learning potential in the department. Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experience: 1. Experience with MEDITECH Clinical Applications, specifically the LIS System is required. Experience with BAR a definite plus. Calculation, rule and report writing experience is helpful. 2. Verbal and interpersonal skills, in order to work with users at all levels of the organization as well as outside vendors. 3. Strong initiative, effective organization, communication, and planning skills; the ability to motivate, lead and train others effectively; and to convey ideas to non-MIS personnel using non-technical language. 4. Ability to write and follow CAP procedures. 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong definition, analysis, development, and documentation skills. 6. Experience with troubleshooting Medinet interfaces 7. Knowledge of PC applications (MS Office)and Boston Workstation cripting tools also a plus.
