I am not sure if I have seen this on the Meditech-L list before - I apologize if this has been discussed previously: We are Meditech 5.4 (magic); we also subscribe to Medispan. Our PHA module Drug Class dictionary has ten character spaces for the mnemonic, but the AHFS Classifications for 2006 can contain up to eleven characters [numbers plus colon(:) and periods(.)]. We have been using the numerical classes as the mnemonics; how are others handling this, or am I going about it all wrong??
