Instead of using @drug.id, try using @generic.id. The drug.id field is
used when the end user doesn't like the "assembled" drug name. When the
formulary page pops up this field is displayed with the contents of what the
user has entered. What is misleading here is that if the user has entered
nothing for this drug and the field is blank, a background program in
Meditech detects this and fills the display field in with the drug name and
strength (I believe).
This gives the impression that the field is always populated when
sometimes
it may, in fact, be empty. The @generic.id field does is done on the
formulary screen. It checks to see if the @drug.id field is populated. If
so the contents of that field are used. If not the assembled name is used.
In short use @generic.id from PHA.DRUG instead of @drug.id

I have an npr report pulling in the barcodes for the drugs in Pharmacy. My
problem is I am not able to get the field drug.id to come in.
The report is Magic in the DPM PHA.DRUG, sort is by mnemonic, but the
drug.id field is empty. I even tried writing an expression
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and it still will not pull in the field. Any ideas??
I got the npr from the Meditech NPR Archives for BMV so that our pharmacist
could start scanning in the meds once we go live with 5.5.
