Hi all..
I received requests to post replies about a NUR custom to track
outcomes.
Here it is.
A big Thank you to Debbie Kelly for getting back to me so quickly and

Carol, I cannot get to the meditech L right now so feel free to send
this. The custom was done from the DO, Document Outcome verb strip
function in NUR. As you could see in the presentation, you get a
different window to give the outcome a rating, equivalent to the NOC
rating, rather than just a Yes/No as is meditech standard. The site we
did this at was OLM. You can ask meditech for a quote on the same
custom. I think it cost about 5K, if I remember correctly. Meditech
had done it for another site before us. Healthnet consulting assisted
us in our build using NIC and NOC.

Hi Debbie...
I looked at your Muse2005 NUI presentation on your website..
I saw a few screen shots what is labelled as custom outcome screens..

Could you please share some info about this. Was it costly, is it a new
verb function off process interventions screen?? If you don't mind, you
might as well post your reply to the L.
Before I found your email address, I posted the question to the L, and
I've had a few "please post to L".

Thanks very much for any info you can share.
Carol

I would love to sent anyone who wants it a screen shot of the NUI style
menu we developed for clinicians. The file is too big for the list serve
so if you are interested emailed me directly and I will send it to you.

Basically our users don't get a database look up at all.

They get ONE menu with icons to different databases. They love it. Our
clinical informatics nurse and I developed it together. Almost %100 of
our ALL our clinical users use one of 4 menus.

Managers
Main nursing
Ancillary managers
Ancillary clinical users
