I don't have a direct solution for you as I work in the lab area, but
you might want to look at your label stock.  We have been experiencing
issues with label no reads in the lab and it is looking like the source
of the issue is our label stock.  The colour, permeability, and thermal
sensitivity are all a factor.

One other potential problem is how much white space is around your
barcode.  If the barcode is near the edge of the label you won't be able
to read it.  When it prints on paper it isn't near the edge.
