Hi,

I’ve been trialing an HHP 4600 SF tethered scanner with some success but am having trouble with the high density barcodes on some items. The item often will scan but the length of time/attempts necessary would be unacceptable to the end user for those nonlinear bar codes. Has anyone used any other type of Metrologic or Symbol  tethered scanner with success with these symbologies? The other wrinkle is that I’ve called all three companies and asked to have a cordless/wireless version that would scan these high density barcodes and  was told by Metrologic, HHP, and Symbol that they will are not available but in the pipeline.

Should we plan on repacking those items if nursing wants to have a cordless scanner?  Does anyone have any thoughts about Symbol or Metrologic?

Thanks,

Ed
