Actually, I object more strongly to those who bounce "Out-Of-Office" messages (of which I can expect 10-20 with this post) back to us who post to the list, than an informational posting by a vendor. If we were negotiating with Care Fusion (as some sites may have been), it would have triggered more in-depth discussions to reach a certain comfort level prior to making a decision. I don't know enough about Care Fusion to know whether they would be open to potential customers about the litigation and its potential impact. I viewed the Iatric posting as another informational post, no different than the scripting solution vendors, print/fax solution vendors, consulting groups, or hardware vendors who also post on the list - they keep us aware of options to help us make informed decisions. I'll admit I deleted the Iatric post (even though I have a very high opinion of the company) immediately after a brief scan and determining it would not affect us, which is more consideration tha! n the time I spend deleting out-of-office replies. Even the html emails that arrive as attachments are more annoying, but I prefer viewing the value of the list as half-full (with potential) than half-empty (waste of time). Tuning my built-in BS detector helps screen postings quickly.
