Hi We love the Forms-online product. In general, the online forms give
IT a way to provide copies of forms to any printer on the hospital network from
within Meditech. Through NPR you can overlay data from Meditech onto forms to
reduce the number of labels used and get rid of the little plastic cards issued
to patients. The goal is to reduce paper waste and prevent outdated forms being
utilized. It works great for us. We place the burden of form creation back on the requesting
department. They create the document using Word or Excel, or whatever other application
they want and send the file to us. We print it to the harddrive which creating the
files that are uploaded to the Meditech server. Once uploaded they are
available to be printed right away. If you want to overlay data it takes more
time, but is well worth the effort. We overlay patient and insurance
information onto the patient facesheets, Consent forms, ambulance transfer
