We are a new Meditech CS customer. I believe we will have v5.5. We are looking at buying 56 new clinical end user devices and want to consider thin client technology.
I understand that Meditech only supports desktop versions of windows. Therefore XP embedded or a UNIX / Linux kernel thin client may work (connected to Citrix), but Meditech will only work on issues that are re-produced on a supported client device.
Having said that, are there customers who use thin clients -- especially with Bedside Medication Verification (wireless keyboard-wedge scanner) who are willing to share what works and what to watch out for?
