Title: Hospitals with Amerinet Contracts
We're not an Amerinet site, however our response on breaking out In versus Outpt is to run the NPR report on a 14-day delay.  This allows for the NORMAL changes between In and Outpt (and the non -normal transfers tend to happen months later, so there isn't much I've found to resolve these...)  You could choose to resolve these by running the same report on a larger date range, and compare the totals to the detail...

I use a piece of code,
IF{"Y"[EMAIL PROTECTED] "O";
@MIS.PAT.status^XPS="ADM IN"!(XPS="DIS IN) "I";"O"}
    to find Outpatients AND Observation patients in my PHA.RX macro.

Hope this helps,

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Hospitals with Amerinet Contracts

Our IS director wanted me to post this question:

Hi, Tim,

could you put out a query on the L list for hospitals who use Amerinet and are successfully

live with 340B pricing:

how do they keep their inpatient and outpatient drugs seperate when a patient starts out as

an outpatient and becomes and inpatient (ER to INPT, for example)?

I have heard some fancy accounting stories, and one story where the hospital actually uses

2 V numbers.

I am looking for specifics from successful hospitals who would be willing to share their

stories.

Thanks-

Tim Scott
