We subscribe to Care Notes by Micromedix. This is a web-based tool that provide patient discharge instructions and drug monograms for patient education. I know Meditech interfaces with Micromedix as a Pharmacy Formulary Provider but does anyone interface with them such that the Aftercare / Drug Monographs print out as a result of an action within PCS or as the result of a d/c Order being processed? I saw discharge Instructions in EDM-PDI which also stated it could be used in the ONC module but it looked very limited. Does anyone have something that works in conjunction with PCS??? ________________________________ From: Jim Johnson Sent: Tue 9/12/2006 4:55 PM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'; Peggy Esch; [email protected]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: TCP vs UDP anyone made the switch? We've found it to perform better over slow connections. It's also more dependable over our in-house wireless. We've also recently discovered that it seems to support MS Terminal Services. It doesn't appear to be any faster, just more reliable (ie: less disconnects over DSL and Frame-Relay). One downside if you're using Meditech's Application Servers for remote sites. The Application Servers and ALL remotely attached clients must convert at the same time since they "share" the client responsibilities when operating as a 3-tier client. -----Original Message----- From: Neal Haerich [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, September 12, 2006 4:38 PM To: Peggy Esch; [email protected]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: TCP vs UDP anyone made the switch? Does anyone have experience with TCP vs UDP? >From MT"s CIO page: TCP/IP Connections Available Tuesday, September 12, 2006 Latest versions of MagicCS use TCP rather than UDP to transmit messages between client and server computers. Using a TCP socket allows both ends to establish an encryption key for the life of the connection, thereby providing complete security against spying and spoofing Peggy Esch, MBA, CPHIMS HCIS Manager Citizens Memorial Healthcare 1500 N Oakland Bolivar MO 65613 417 328 6526 The information contained in this e-mail, including any attachments,is legally privileged and confidential.
