As a hospital on a contract with a buying group that uses Dell, we had the issue of continuing with HP printers (not on the Dell list) or using Dell. We have started using Dell printers with good success. They are compatible with HP's and have all the necessary bells & whistles at a lower price. The primary models currently in use are the 5100n (color) and 5310n (b&w). For specific applications that require more than Dell offers, we still can get HP or Xerox as needed. Douglas B. We would like to know what replacement printer was selected. We are considering HP 9040Ns but their footprint is larger.
