Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Allergies on
ID wrist bands
I'm posting this question on behalf
of our informatics nurse; any responses would be appreciated and I'll forward
them to her. Basically, it looks like they are looking at an additional
wristband which contains allergies. So, if you use these or know anything about
them, please reply.
Hi Charlie,
Yes - Betty has checked with other facilities and they put an ID band on
that lists
the patient's allergies separately from the ID band that has the patient
info on it. At
first I thought they wanted to put it on the current band which has NO
room, but that is
not how it is done. It is an extra band. Other than that,
that's all I know about it.
Let me know what you learn on
the "L"
