Good Friday morning! I have an interesting request.... the thread is below, however the 'gist' of it is that our Patient Accounts VP wants to allow outside agencies into B/AR, to use a custom Process Account menu, to review accounts sent to those specific collection agencies. My thought was an NPR report to run a Select file, and call BAR.ACT.process.accounts (this routine is #44 on B/AR main menu)... the downside to this is the select file would need to change fairly often, potentially every day... and allowing the ability to self-compile the Selects isn't an option... as other Selects could be accessed. Have others found a solution to this? It should be somewhat :) similar to PCI calling an ABS file process, except for B/AR.... even this process needs recompiling, correct? Lisa, You can call a Select report as a source file for an NPR report... kind of like Abstracting does for their custom Selects... What I'm not sure of is if you can restrict the NPR report to only a certain Select report, or if it needs to be a lookup field... question is if the user could run ANY select report... Select reports CAN call Process Account, it's # 44 on your BAR menu - Process Selected Accounts.... so maybe a combination??
