Deborah - I've had similar problems with running IV refill lists. The problem is still unresolved, but when we run IV refill lists, the printer will print maybe 15 labels and then just stop. We moved the printer to another port, and it seems to work fine, which points to the wall jack, cable or something along those lines. We use the Datamax I Class: DMX-I 4208 printer. We then ran a cable directly from the hub to the printer, and it still had problems, so I believe that I've narrowed it down to the hub. So, check the connections first. Let me know if you had any luck. I've been dealing with this for 2 weeks now and the problem is still unresolved.

We have had intermittent issues with the lab specimen labels getting stuck in the Meditech printer queue using DataMax M4208 printers.  When it starts it will happen about twice a day where we have to clear the Meditech queue before they can print again.  When I ping the printer, it seems to time out (lose packets) during this time.  It typically starts replying well again after about 5-10 minutes.  We have tried our own network card and it does the same thing.  In the past, it appeared to happen when we have broadcasting viruses on the network, but we are not finding any at this time.  I have set these label printers up in Meditech the same as a laser printer only using FARGO as the model.  We are using TCP port 515 in Meditech and Port 9100 on the printer configuration.
Why are these label printers affected and not any laser printers?  Any suggestions to as to how to fix this issue?  Could other things be causing it?

Thanks,
