We are just starting to look at POC devices. In the process we have been informed by JJWILD
that these devices must be bought through them as they have to load "Special firmware" in
order for the devices to work with Meditech. This "Special Firmware" costs approximately $1000
for a Symbol Device.
Those of you who are using any devices for POC.... did you buy through JJ.. whether Symbol or
Dell or Compaq or any other for that matter?
Thanks for your help

Hi, Is anyone using the Dell Axim x51 for their POC? I'm trying to get
POC set-up and I am having a problem getting the display full screen
using Citrix and/or Term Services. Meditech's point of care is about 2
inches tall - we would need magnifying glasses to use it! I have set
Citrix up to display full screen, but it's not working.
If you have the Dell Axim x51v give up now, pack them up, and call
Dell. The x51v is a VGA resolution device, and the POC app is intended
for a screen with 240x320 pixels, and there is no way that I have been
able to find to scale up using Citrix. If you have the standard Dell
x51 with 240x320 resolution, or the iPaq 2490 series, I have settings
for Citrix that work fairly well and I would be glad to share them.
Just drop me a line.
