Hello L'ers,
A Nurse at our facility asked me if the NUR and PHA modules could communicate to each other regarding food-drug interactions. Currently the nurse goes into the NUR module and orders a diet and under FDI (food-drug interactions) they hit lookup where dietary has a list of 10 drugs to choose from. The nurse said this process is not being done because the MAR is not with the chart when the diet is entered. She was wondering if there is a way to bring it auromatically from Pharmacy. Right now a list prints at 6am for those patients that are on those 10 drugs but apparently gets lost in the stack of papers on the printer. Anyone have a solution or a better way of accomplishing this task. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
