It is totally manual here. If one thinks of it as developing a process in TEST so that you don't have a bunch of inactive trial run  dictionary entries in LIVE, the process is more tolerable.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Question on keeping up test and live

My supervisor has asked that I post the question how are you all managing to keep test and live matching, or are you?

We have always had the practice that test and live should match unless you are making a change to test something.  Policy has been to make change in test, test and then make change in live.

Now that we are implementing more of the clinical modules we have more superusers out there and they are complaining of the time it takes to keep up two systems.  I am sure you have all heard the same complaint.

How are you all doing this?  Is it manual or do you have a script or product that you are using to do this?  Or are you even trying?

Thanks for all input.

Carol
