Carole, We use DataMax Thermal I or M class printers. We use the ribbon mode to prevent any fading over time. We purchase watermark safety stock. The roll is 4" wide and comes out as single prescriptions one after another. We use the black bar sensor option on the back of the label stock rather than the light sensor option. Has been live for about 2 years with no problems. Backup labels and ribbons are stored in the Pyxis machine in the area and pharmacy re-stocks machine when role removed to fill printer.
